A Thought For Thursday- what’s on your mind?

ImageIm starting a new weekly post on my blog every thursday where I will post a ‘THURSDAY THOUGHT’, anything from quotes, to a thought I had that morning and just something I heard and wanted to comment about. As well as posting my thoughts, It would be great to hear yours too so let me know your Thursday Thoughts in the comments below.

So here is my Thursday Thought; We may look at others and feel that they have everything, they have the job we want, the money we dream about, the love we long for and the success we crave. However, we never stop to think that life happens the way we choose it to. Nobody in life has or gets everything they want, or thought they would get. No matter how much we think someone else has or how much they succeed, we should remember that life is what we make it. Success comes from hard work, love comes from not looking for it but letting it happen and a positive life comes from kindness and the ability to not judge people. Its easy to envy other peoples lives, but by respecting what they have and focusing on getting to where you need to be through determination and passion, that is when amazing things will happen.

Someone else isn’t walking your journey, you are!

  1. I’m going to share with you my fav quote of all time: “Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” – Walter Elias Disney.

I know a lot of people when they think of Disney just think of the mouse, but there’s a an entire inspirational story of the man behind the mouse! 🙂

    • Thanks for your comment, I love that quote 🙂 I couldn’t agree more! And it’s very true people only see Disney as what’s shown to them and not what’s behind the Disney doors. I have a few posts about Disney you may be interested in reading on my blog, just my insight into the world of Disney. So if you can have a read 🙂

I would love to hear more quotes from you too!

  2. In response to your Thursday Thought: What we envy in other people is what we perceive their lives to be. But we almost never know what goes on behind their closed doors. If we did, we might not be so envious — and we might feel more grateful for what we already have.

    • Thanks for your comment, i completely agree with what you wrote. We envy people I think for the wrong reasons, we envy only what is right infront of us or what we think they have but unless we walk a mile in someone else’s shoes we wouldn’t understand or know exactly what their real life is. We should appreciate what we have. Your comment is very true and something that should be taken board!

  3. i think we envy other’s life easily is because we are never contented, and i think that’s pretty disappointing.Honestly, i was moved by your post because there are times that i also envy someone’s life, and now i guess that i might not have everything, but i have enough to survive this life :))

    • Thanks for your comment Littlemisscriz. I definitely think we envy peoples life because we arn’t content with our own, but your right it is important to realise although we don’t have everything, we have enough 🙂 hope you can keep sharing your thoughts on my blog.

  4. Sorry, I am late on this one, but could not agree with your more. You are right in that we only know the surface of what another’s life is truly like.

Playing the “what if” game in trying to compare our lives to others is certainly a waste of time. Not only will we never find happiness that way, but it is also wasting our own valuable time that could be used to help others.

I am a big advocate of just “bloom where you are planted.”

    • Thanks for the comment, you are definitely right! We do waste our own valuable time on things that arn’t important and focusing on what is irrelevant when our time could be spent on much more important and helpful things. I couldn’t agree more with your last statement, I think everyone should follow that it’s very inspiring! Keep sharing your thoughts 🙂
